The Mayor brought attention to the opening of DC Public
Schools on Monday, August 24, with a message to drivers to slow down and watch
for students walking to school. Bowser, joined by District government agency
heads, staff from the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services, and
residents, greeted drivers with signs along six busy corridors: Florida,
Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Rhode Island, and Arkansas Avenues.
